Maharashtra may head towards President’s Rule if the government is not formed by November 7, Finance Minister and BJP leader Sudhir Mungantiwar said on Friday.
It’s been 8 days since the election results were declared, still, BJP and Shiv Sena haven’t been able to come to a solution. Shiv Sena wants Aditya Thackeray to become the Chief Minister for 2.5 years. But BJP is not ready to compromise on the CM post. They want Devendra Fadnavis to become the CM for the whole 5 years.
The tenure of the existing Legislative Assembly will end on November 8. If both the parties don’t find out a resolution by then, it’ll be a President Rule in Maharashtra.
If this happens, over and above both the parties, it’ll be a defeat for the people of Maharashtra who voted not for a single party but the alliance.
