‘Shameful, Horrific And Heartbreaking’: Bollywood Celebrities On JNU Attack

The first week of the new year witnessed an incident that shook every citizen of the country. On 5th January (Sunday) Jawaharlal Nehru University came under siege by a group of masked attackers. Several students were injured in the horrific incident.

Actress Swara Bhaskar took to social media to appeal to people for help. She posted a video with the following caption:

“Urgent appeal!!!! To all Delhiites PLS gathers in large numbers outside the Main Gate of JNU campus on Baba Gangnath Marg.. to pressure the govt. & #DelhiPolice to stop the rampage by alleged ABVP masked goons on the JNU campus. “

Here are a few of the many Bollywood celebrities who spoke up and condemned the violence that occurred at the prestigious institution. Some of them have been significantly vocal about their opinions on the current political situation in the country. Whereas, others were urged to raise their voice post the recent attack.
