Google And Facebook Fail To Make It To The Top 10 Workplaces

Google and Facebook have lost their top spots in Glassdoor’ s “Best Places to Work” in 2020 list. The two companies are no longer counted among the top 10 workplaces. Facebook, which held the 7th rank last year, has dropped down to the 23rd spot whereas Google is at the 11th position.

Based on employee reviews, here are the top 10 workplaces 2020.

1HubSpot
2Bain & Company
3DocuSign
4In-N-Out Burger
5Sammons Financial Group
6Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
7Intuitive Surgical
8Ultimate Software
9VIPKid
10 Southwest Airlines

Last year, Facebook’s rating was 4.5 (out of 5), which is now 4.4. The company’s work-life balance and senior leadership have received comparably lower ratings. Another reason for Facebook’s lower ranking is its increased regulatory scrutiny.

Facebook has been facing various issues regarding user data management, misinformation campaigns, global digital currency (Libra) plans etc. According to the recent survey report released by Glassdoor, the employees are still positive about Facebook in terms of parameters like compensation and career opportunities.

The list also featured Apple Inc at the 84th spot.
