The coronavirus outbreak has wreaked havoc in the whole world. Countries across the globe have taken strict measures in order to stop the spread of the disease.
Celebrities, influencers, filmmakers, and artists….everybody is doing their best to spread awareness and educate people about the current situation.
A number of business moguls and celebrities have also stepped up and donated generously to support the efforts being taken to combat the pandemic and help those who have been affected by it.

1. Bill Gates
Bill Gates has committed $100 million through his foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The contribution is to support the global research and treatment of COVID-19.
2. Jack Ma
The founder of Alibaba has committed $14 million from his foundation. His contribution will go into supporting the development of a vaccine for the deadly disease. Additionally, he has also shipped testing kits and face masks to the US.
Ma also pledged to donate emergency supplies to Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka. Take a look:
Popstar Rihanna’s foundation ( The Clara Lionel Foundation) has donated $5 million to multiple organizations involved in coronavirus relief efforts.
4. Donatella and Allegra Versace
Fashion mogul Donatella Versace and her daughter Allegra Versace have made a ‘personal donation’ of 200,000 euros to a hospital in Milan. Take a look:
5. Ariana Grande
Singer Ariana Grande is also supporting a number of organizations including Opportunity Fund, Feeding American and the World Health Organization.
Several other popular personalities including Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Stephen and Ayesha Curry, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, Sheryl Sandberg, Jimmy Fallon have also made generous contributions.

The number of COVID-19 cases in India has crossed the 500 marks now. The entire country is in lockdown. Several popular names have come forward to do their bit for supporting the nation in times of crisis.
1. Anand Mahindra
Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra has offered help to the government in its effort to combat the pandemic. He also extended his support to small businesses and self-employed people, committing to contribute 100 percent of his salary to create a fund. Take a look:

Former cricketer and politician Gautam Gambhir has pledged Rs 50 lakhs from his Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLAD) fund to support the Delhi government hospitals in tackling the coronavirus outbreak.
3. Xiaomi India
Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain has also pledged his support to doctors, paramedics and hospital staff who are at the forefront of this war against COVID-19. The company is donating N95 masks to several state governments, state police, and government hospitals. It will also donate hazmat suits to doctors across some of the government hospitals.
4. Reliance Industries Limited
From enhancing the production of face-mask and protective equipment to contributing to the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries has taken several steps to help the country deal with the crisis. RIL’s Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital, along with BMC, has also set up a 100-bed center at Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai. The foundation has set up an isolation facility in Lodhivali (Maharashtra) and will also collaborate with NGOs across different cities to provide free meals to those in need.
5. Anil Agarwal
Anil Agarwal, The Executive Chairman of Vedanta Resources Limited also pledged Rs 100 crore towards fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
6. Anupama Venugopal Nadella
In a bid to help her home state Telangana, Anupama Venugopal Nadella (wife of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella) has contributed Rs 2 crore to the Chief Minister Welfare Fund. The fund will be used to help those in need during the lockdown period.
Superstar Rajinikanth has made a generous contribution of Rs 50 lakh to support the daily wage workers of the South Indian film industry. Karthi, Suriya, Vijay Sethupati and several other stars and filmmakers from the south Indian film industry have also come forward to help.
