According to the reports, Srijana Gummalla, who is serving as the Commissioner of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, delivered her baby earlier this year. Srijana is a 2013-batch IAS officer.
Keeping in mind the situation these days, she refused to take her maternity leave and joined the office within days after her delivery.
While speaking to Hindustan Times, she said that she was fortunate to have the support of her husband and mother.
She said, “My role is just a small part in this humongous effort, rather modestly. My whole family gave me the strength to work towards this commitment.”
