As the ongoing conflicts continue to fire along the Line Of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh with Chinese PLA (People Liberation Army), the Narendra Modi government on Monday, 29th June imposed a ban on 59 Chinese apps.
The government has decided to take this stern action as these apps are involved in activities that are detrimental to the sovereignty and integrity of India. Many security threats have also been reported earlier because of the continuous usage of these apps.
The 59 Chinese apps that the government of India has banned include popular apps like TikTok, ShareIt, Helo, Cam Scanner, UC Browser, Beauty Plus, WeChat, VMate, Club Factory, Shein, WeMeet, Vigo Video, Newsdog, Mi Community, Mi Video Call and many more.
Among all these Chinese apps banned, Tik Tok was the most booming app and was doing a great business in the Indian market, crossing more than 300 million downloads.
