It’s a busy time for Bollywood biggies Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan. While Akshay is busy with the promotions of his upcoming movie Gud Newwz, Salman is held up in promoting Dabangg 3 and shooting for Raadhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai.
However, both the superstars are in a fix now owing to one confusion-the release date of their next film. Akshay’s Laxmmi Bomb and Salman’s Radhe are scheduled to be released on Eid, next year.
Here’s what lead to the situation. Initially, director Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi (which starts Akshay Kumar) was set to release on Eid 2020.
Later, Salman announced his venture with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, titled Inshallah, to be released on the same date. Rohit and Salman had a discussion over this and as a result, the release date for Sooryavanshi was shifted to 27th March, next year.
However, Inshallah was shelved later on. As soon as Akshay heard this, he announced the release of Laxmmi Bomb for (now available) Eid 2020.
A while later, Salman took to Twitter to announce that one of his movies will also release on that date. That movie turned out to be Radhe. Now both the movies are ready for release on the same date.
Akshay was asked to comment on the possible clash between the upcoming movies, to which he replied,
“Pehle main aaya hoon but anybody can come, there is nothing wrong. Eid ka din hai do filmein aa sakthi hai, kyu nahi aa sakti saath mein? (I came first, but then there is nothing wrong. It is Eid and two films can arrive together, why not!)”.
Salman and Akshay have worked together in several films and share a fine rapport. Chances of both the movies coming out on the same date are scarce but the latter is in no mood to step back this time.
